The new anchors are sold single-handedly, QUICK staff brims with enthusiasm. Every construction specialist who lays hands on them is thrilled. And yet the idea is dead simple, it just takes someone to come up with it.

The decisive factor is to correctly and securely position the anchors and to be able to screed and smooth the concrete without obstacles.

Moreover, it is important that the anchors are capable to withstand all possible tensile loads, which is why we also have DW 15, 20 und 26.5 mm anchors on offer.

The double anchor element is based on a reinforcement stirrup, Ø 8 or Ø 10 mm, featuring the dimensions 35 x 35 cm, which is placed on the top reinforcement layer and to which the anchors are welded at an 45° angle (if requested, an 90° angle is possible, too). The anchor consisting of a cast thread piece and a steel tube extension in order to achieve the necessary anchoring depth is welded to the reinforcement stirrup. A plastic tube is inserted in the steel tube to provide for height adaptation in case of different reinforcement covers. The plastic tube should be approx. 5 – 10 mm deeper than the top edge of the concrete slab to be concreted. To avoid concrete running into the tube, it is provided with a foam plug. This foam plug with a diameter of 25 mm is approx. 80 mm long and should protrude approx. 10 mm from the concrete surface to make sure the anchor is still visible after concreting. During concreting, the plug is soft enough to enable screeeding the concrete with a power trowel.

Another idea was that the anchor points for supporting brackets in the concrete slab should be quickly and easily prepared beforehand instead of drilling them afterwards. In this case, too, the cast anchor piece has already been welded to the reinforcement stirrup in the factory and is then placed on the top reinforcement layer.
